NORTH WEST MECCANO GUILD

Clicking on many of the pictures enlarges them and provides extra information. The models are usually attributed to the builder.

The Guild is always interested in preventing good Meccano going to waste. If you have any Meccano to re-cycle, please contact the Secretary or a member at one of our events.

Click  “Exhibitions” for a calendar of our events. Or “Event Details” for information about individual ones.

Click “North West” for information about Meccano on display and  Meccano related locations in the North West of England.

Geoff. Burgess passed away recently. He was a highly respected member of the Guild for many years. He could be expected to bring beautifully constructed interesting models to many of our events. I have put together a selection of photographs of his models taken at a number of events by various photographers.

They appear below. Click on them for more information.

Unfortunately, the Beyer-Garrett Locomotive was not completed in time for a photograph at our last event, but it was displayed at his funeral. Pictures of it and many of his other models, can be found at:

In Denton Cemetery.

As well as some other memorabilia, a small amount of Meccano was placed in his grave.
